Personally I love the spear and axe combo. I suggest making one of each weapon type with bronze and you can swap them around with your buddies, and when you find one you like just stick with that for the rest of the gameĪ year ago, and I dont think it has changed, had meast mobs resistant to blunt, most mobs resistant to pierce.īrunging a 1 handed club, 2 handed club, bow and axe keeps you covered for most encounters if you want to min/max inventory.ĭaggers has the highest DPS, requires good parry skills early on and lategame good movement skills. But, you obviously can’t block so in general, you want to time your attacks to land before the enemy so that you hit and knock back the enemy out of range and their attack misses. The knock-back and cc is really good on most of the two-handed weapons, as well as the damage. Having said that, some players swear by two-handed weapons. You also lack an alternate attack option with the axe the alt attack with the sword and club are both situationally quite strong. Though you can 3-hit combo with the axe and do decently well, the axe is not as effective as the club or sword. It was OP back then and though it’s been nerfed slightly for balance, it’s still very strong and effective against pretty much every enemy in the game. The parry into 3-hit combo has been a staple playstyle in the game pretty much since the first public release. It’s really strong against enemies that are weak to blunt damage, and does enough raw dmg against enemies that aren’t weak to blunt. Bows! Bows are the best weapon as you can take out enemies from a safe distance.įor melee fighting, my personal favorite setup is one-handed clubs with a non-tower shield.
